Responsibilities
Société Générale Securities Services (SGSS) Italy, based in Milan and Turin, is recognized among the leading players of the Italian securities services market for the quality and competitiveness of its post-trade solutions. With almost 600 staff and offices in Milan and Turin - provides post-trading services for portfolio of securities held in Custody and Custodian Services to Italian funds. Its clients are institutional investors, asset managers and financial intermediaries.
In 2016, SGSS Italy was named “Depository Bank of the Year in Italy” by European Pensions magazine. In 2017, it was also recognized by Global Investor and Global Custodian for the excellence of its custody services.
The Administrative Division (SGSS/CAO) is responsible for providing a secure framework for SGSS’ activities at a global level, while facilitating the development and transformation of SGSS through its transversal responsibilities. In a nutshell, SGSS/CAO’s role is to: “Support and Secure SGSS Together”.
This ambition is translated in a very operational Vision of Success organized around 4 main axes:
· Strengthen the risk management system
· Facilitate the commercial development and transformation of SGSS businesses
· Enhance our internal operations and our dialogue with our partners within SGSS
· Promote a respectful and motivating work environment within CAO
It is also composed of 6 sub-departments.
The Administrative Division is also responsible for the functional coordination of the Legal Department dedicated to SGSS (SEGL/JUR/WHL/GSS).
· Within the first line of defense (LOD1), contributes to the control of the risks of the Bank, in line with SG Group and external regulations, mainly through the management of projects/initiatives
· In terms of operational risk management: ensure a smooth transition to the new tools deployed for operational risk management
· In terms of management of the first level permanent control framework: enhance the level 1 control framework deployed
· In terms of credit risk management: ensure a smooth transition to the new tools deployed for the collection of the credit exposure

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
· Graduate with a Master’s degree from Business/Engineering School or University
· A previous experience in Banking, Asset and Risk management would be appreciated
Language skills:
· Fluent in English (B2-C1)
· Italian - advanced
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
· Proficient/Good command of MS Office
· Good communication and presentation skills
· Optimal Analytical and Writing skills
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Italy i s to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
