IFAD is an international financial institution and a United Nations specialized agency dedicated to eradicating rural poverty and hunger. IFAD invests in rural people by providing low-interest loans and grants to developing countries to finance programmes and projects that increase agricultural productivity and raise rural incomes, and advocating at the local, national and international level for policies that contribute to rural transformation.

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is looking for a strategic leader and experienced professional to join as member of the Executive Management Team and lead the establishment of the newly established office of Development Effectiveness. We are looking for candidates to oversee the design of operational policies and procedures, assessing the quality of design and the impact of IFAD’s operations, and monitoring and reporting on the performance of IFAD’s portfolio, including mainstreaming issues. The incumbent will lead the secretariat of analytical and technical reviews and act as secretary of IFAD’s Operational Strategy and Policy Guidance Committee.
