Overview: 

Campari Group is seeking a talented and motivated professional to join our Finance, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team as a Group FP&A Advanced Analytics intern. This role is designed for an individual with a background in economics who has also dedicated a significant portion of their studies to the intersection of finance and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in computer science, statistics, machine learning, and business analytics to drive innovation and support strategic decision-making within the organization. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Data Analysis and Interpretation: 

Conduct in-depth financial analysis and data interpretation to support FP&A activities. 

Utilize advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to extract insights from complex datasets. 

Develop and maintain financial models to forecast business performance. 

Optimization and Algorithms: 

Apply optimization techniques to improve financial planning and resource allocation. 

Support the implementation of computer science algorithms to solve complex business problems and enhance operational efficiency. 

Advanced Analytics: 

Integrate big data analytics into financial strategies to enhance forecasting and performance tracking. 

Collaborate with data scientists and IT professionals to manage and analyze large datasets. 

Utilize simulation and modeling techniques to predict business outcomes and assess risks. 

Business Analytics and Innovation: 

Drive business analytics initiatives to support innovation efforts. 

Provide insights into market trends and consumer behavior to inform strategic decisions. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics/Business fields with blended focus of modern statistics and mathematics (Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field). 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Excellent communication and presentation skills. 

Fluent in English 

Preferred Skills: 

Familiarity with advanced machine learning tools and platforms (ex. Visual Studio) and data science language (R, Python). 

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. 

Experience with statistical regression and modelling. 

Key Relationships: 

Internal: Group FP&A, Data Analytics and Data Science (DADS), GBS Data, Reporting and Analytics (GBS DR&A), Regional and Local Finance teams. 

External: Consultants involved in projects; Universities and/or Entities engaged in statistical studies or projects.
