The Compatibility & Coating Solutions Team aims at studying the materials compatibility with conventional and unconventional fluids and developing innovative coatings/surface treatment solutions. The team evaluates, develops, and industrializes new emerging technologies to guarantee the best performances of the new Energy Transition products enriching Baker Hughes portfolio.
Partner with the best
The main responsibility in the Compatibility & Coating Solution Team will be the development of new coating/surface modification technologies, the definition of internal standards for coating processes, the qualification of external suppliers, resolution of non-conformities in coating processes.
As a Lead Coating Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Conducting research and development of coating technologies Developing of timelines and milestones for projects, identifying risks and issues, and appropriate plans to address Identifying intellectual property and patentable inventions Building partnerships with academia, start-ups, and technology developers Playing an active role in scientific dissemination by presenting at conferences/events and publishing technical papers Defining of internal standards for coating processes (i.e. painting, plating, …) Qualifying of external suppliers. Resolving of non-conformities and deviations in coating processes Supporting in ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) phases as a coating specialist.

To be successful in this role you will:
Have degree in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or similar Have technical expertise on coating processes, particularly on plating, painting, diffusive coatings Have excellent communication and written skills in English Demonstrate effective leadership skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with the team and the internal and external customers Be able to travel internationally Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solve problems and provide solutions Exhibit the highest standards of ethical conduct and responsibility for fully understanding and complying with company policies
