Our Industrial & Engineering Technology team provides industry-leading products and services that promote the energy transition improving the extraction, production and processing of energy. We help a diverse range of customers across the value chain to reduce environmental impact and improve productivity. We design and innovate centrifugal, axial, reciprocating compressor and turboexpander products for our global customers. We adopt cutting-edge technology and continuous innovation to deal with new challenges such as Hydrogen production, liquefaction and transport, Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage, Energy Production from super-critical CO2.
As an NPD (New Products Development) Design Engineer, you'll actively participate to the design and development phase of new rotating equipment for Energy Transition and O&G Compression Products applications (Centrifugal and Axial Compressors, Turboexpanders, Reciprocating Compressors, Innovative Rotating Equipment) covering the machine and plant integration.
In a multidisciplinary environment the projects will cover the mechanical design & arrangement of mechanical systems and the study of the structural behavior of mechanical components which could include several load sources (static, dynamics and thermal) to succeed in the final definition of the product.
In a stimulating environment of the “energy transition”, a further challenge will be to adapt the products to evolving market requirements leveraging adjacent markets solutions and performing research and testing on concepts identified.
As an NPD Energy Transition and O&G Compression Products Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Leading the design and validation phase of new products, executing the development of cross-functional projects.
Executing design, calculations, analysis and evaluation in multidisciplinary areas of engineering.
Developing ideas providing relevant effort in structuring conceptual roadmaps to target the goals.
Executing new design tools and methods, prototypes, verification and testing of new concepts and products.
Generating detailed technical reports and documentation of the design and testing phases of the product development.
Supporting and executing the consolidation and standardization of the Energy Transition and Compression Products.
Supporting market research to determine what types of products might be successful among consumers, collaborating across the business functions.

To be successful in this role you will:
Have an open mindset ready to learn and apply new concepts.
Have a Master Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical/Aerospace or equivalent Engineering.
Have an open approach to problem solving, expanding the current theory, methods, and tools knowledge to fill the gaps.
Knowledge of mechanical systems configuration (drawings & production technologies) and structural (static & dynamics) design.
Demonstrate good computer skills and be familiar with CAD modelling, FEA, programming.
Understand basic thermodynamic principles applied to turbomachinery performances.
Have good verbal and written skills, be fluent in English and hold an EU passport.
