About The Role
For one of our companies inside the group, we are looking for a Head of Automation Engineering to lead our engineering department. This role involves strategic oversight of all automation projects, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring that our automation solutions are both innovative and effective. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a robust background in automation and a passion for technology-driven efficiency.
In this role you will report to the Engineering and R&D Director and will be responsible for:
Develop and implement strategic plans for the automation engineering department to achieve operational and business goals. Lead the design, development, and deployment of automation systems across various sectors of the company. Oversee the full project lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. Manage, mentor, and expand the automation engineering team. Collaborate with other departments to integrate automation solutions that improve productivity and reduce costs. Stay abreast of the latest in automation technology and industry trends to maintain competitive advantage. Report on department performance, challenges, and progress directly to senior management.
What You Need To Be Successuful
Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in automation engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Expertise in various automation and control systems, software development, and system integration. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of technical professionals. Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency level of the English language both written and oral.-
