We are exclusively recruiting for a niche fragrance brand known for its unique collections inspired by natural landscapes and cultural heritage. With its global head office in Milan, the brand is dedicated to exploration and the connection between nature and creativity.
The business is Founder led who is also at the helm of all creativity.
Using sustainable, ethically sourced ingredients, the brand crafts complex, evocative scents, each telling a story. The business retains complete control over the production process which ensures the highest standards of quality and innovation.
With an extensive global distribution via their Own Boutiques and wholesale they have a loyal consumer base particularly in Europe, Asia, US, and South & Central America.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global General Manager to take on top management responsibilities and work closely with the CEO/Founder. This role will enable the CEO to focus on creative and brand-building initiatives, maximising value creation for the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive brand development strategies aligned with business objectives whilst leading a dynamic team of employees form their Milan global office.
Market Positioning: Oversee positioning at commercial, production, and creative levels through constant competitive landscape monitoring.
Innovation: Liaise with internal departments to identify innovative projects for overall brand strategy development.
Performance Management: Collaborate with divisional heads and the CEO to establish targets, monitor performance, define and implement actions, and report to the CEO and the board.
Manufacturing Expertise: Utilise solid expertise in manufacturing processes, particularly in beauty/fragrances, to manage production vs sales effectively.
Business Development: Manage day-to-day operations of a fast-growing business, developing the organization and systems while fostering corporate culture and team spirit.
Cross-Functional Skills: Demonstrate extensive expertise in commercial, operations, and finance/administration sectors.
Leadership: Apply technical and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and coordinate business divisions to achieve targeted results.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Exhibit an entrepreneurial attitude, capable of managing a fast-growing business and developing the organisation and systems accordingly.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Experience in a senior/ General Manager role or as a Chief Operating Officer, preferably within a global brand. With significant experience in production processes, ideally within the luxury industry.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Italian and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
Educational Background: A degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is highly desirable. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in the beauty/fragrance sector. Experience in managing production vs sales dynamics.
Leadership Skills: Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving organizational growth. Ability to foster a positive corporate culture and team spirit.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with business objectives and drive growth.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial and administrative skills, with experience in budgeting, financial planning, and performance monitoring.
Innovative Mindset: Demonstrated ability to identify and drive innovative projects and strategies that contribute to overall brand development.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with different departments and stakeholders.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
