Reporting to the Associate Director Communication, Advocacy and Policy, the External Communication Specialist within the Corporate Affairs department will contribute to a variety of communications activities to support Lilly’s strategic positioning in Italy in the main therapeutic areas.
Implementation of media materials such as press releases, press fact sheets, press coverage documents, etc.
Daily monitoring of press review.
Distribute press releases to media to support news and product launches.
Keep PR tools up to date with all relevant information.
Cultivate relationships with print & online editors, in alignment with team strategy.
Support in the development of press target lists to maintain master media contact lists.
Maintain a strong network with journalists to ensure TAs visibility on relevant media and newspapers.
Propose and implement strategic projects and disease awareness activities in the main therapeutic areas.
Interact and collaborate with Customer Marketing function and other cross‑functional teams (BU marketing, medical, compliance, legal, internal communications).
Previous experience (3+ years) in an external communication department in pharma companies.
Deep knowledge of the Italian editorial and media scenario, with a focus on healthcare.
Social media savvy.
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Excellent written and spoken English and Italian.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, science politics and related fields or in a scientific field.
