🚀🔥 SENIOR TECHNICAL PRODUCT OWNER – 12-MONTH CONTRACT – TOP TIER FINANCIAL CLIENT 🔥🚀 Location: Remote Contract: Freelance Duration: 12 months + strong potential for extension Start Date: End of January or Early February Rate: Negotiable (dependent on experience) Language: Fluent Italian required, English professional working proficiency Client: Large Enterprise Financial Services Organisation Role Description For one of our top-tier financial services clients, we are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Product Owner to lead the evolution of complex digital products. This role requires a knowledge-driven Product Owner with a strong technical background, ideally certified (PSPO, POPM, or equivalent), and proven experience in financial institutions, banking, or insurance . The successful candidate is pragmatic, delivery-focused, and comfortable translating business needs into technically feasible solutions, with active engagement in architecture, integrations, and technical constraints—moving beyond a purely market-oriented approach. Key Responsibilities Own, define, and continuously refine the product backlog, ensuring prioritisation, clarity, and quality Translate business requirements into well-structured, technically sound user stories and acceptance criteria Collaborate daily with development teams, architects, and QA Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives Assess technical impacts, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs when prioritising work Support product and roadmap decisions using a data-driven approach Ensure alignment between product roadmap, technical constraints, and business objectives Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including IT teams and technology vendors Operate effectively within a complex, enterprise-scale, and regulated environment Required Skills & Experience 3+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable product role Experience working within financial services (banking, insurance, or similar regulated environments) Proven ability to perform under pressure , managing ambiguity, competing priorities, and complex delivery challenges Strong experience driving teams toward delivery deadlines , maintaining focus, alignment, and accountability Excellent stakeholder management skills, engaging effectively with senior business, technical, and operational stakeholders Experience managing regulatory and compliance constraints within product development Solid technical understanding (systems, architectures, integrations, APIs, software lifecycle), enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams Experience managing complex digital products (web, mobile, or enterprise platforms) Confident decision-maker, able to navigate difficult conversations and maintain team focus in high-pressure situations Strong knowledge of Agile / Scrum frameworks Product Owner certification (PSPO, POPM, or equivalent) preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Nice to Have Background in software development, system integration, or IT consulting Experience working in enterprise or multi-vendor environments Experience acting as a Technical Product Owner 📩 Interested?
