Job Title: Bid Manager

Hitachi Rail is a global company dedicated to digital transformation and innovation in the rail industry. We are seeking a self‐motivated Bid Manager to lead and support bid activities in a fast‐paced environment.
Implementing creative ideas and initiatives into bids
Driving the preparation of the commercial and technical aspects of the bid, ensuring all services and deliverables are included in the final price to the customer
Managing written proposals or supporting documents, both in terms of content and presentation, for internal or customer presentations
Ensuring adherence to quality process of bid submission and that documents are signed off with appropriate internal authority
Tracking risk and managing it throughout the bid process
Ensuring a smooth handover to the Project Management team when a bid has been secured
German is mandatory, fluent in Italian and English is recommended
Proven record in delivering winning, multi‐million Euro product or complex services opportunities
Ideally has a background in rail industry and experience of bid campaign management from opportunity identification through to project delivery
Sound commercial understanding, P&L and risk management skills
High level of competence with Microsoft Office Suite, excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
Stress and deadline management
Stakeholder management (internal and external)
Effective communication (written and oral)
Market vision and competitive analysis
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Languages
Italian
German
English
