Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you have a knack for marketing and communications? Join STAR House's Communications Committee and help us promote our mission of providing emergency overnight care and services for children aged 0 through age 6 years in St.

Paul, MN.

Role Description:

  • Collaborate with the Communications Committee to develop and execute marketing strategies to promote STAR House.
  • Assist with creating engaging content for social media, newsletters, and other communication channels.
  • Support the implementation of the branding guide, marketing plan, content calendar, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Attend monthly virtual meetings to discuss progress, share ideas, and collaborate with committee members.
  • Take initiative and work independently to contribute fresh ideas and execute new projects.
-Adapt to changing marketing trends and provide feedback on ways to improve marketing efforts.

  • Utilize tools such as Canva, Google Workspace, , and GoDaddy to support communication efforts.

Requirements:

  • Experience in marketing/communications or a genuine interest in marketing.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self starter, able to work virtually both independently and collaboratively.
-Ability to think creatively and contribute innovative ideas.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Comfortable working in a startup phase non profit organization.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools preferred.
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per month, with the opportunity for more hours if desired. This includes attending one 1-hour virtual meeting per month.
