Job Description
  • Support assistance in the preparation of daily accounting duties, month end and year end reporting to group and to statutory authorities including:
    • Recording of revenue and expenses.
    • Credit control activities, collecting unpaid premiums, settling and booking of unallocated cash, reminders to Brokers in liaison with Underwriting Depts.
    • Preparation of aged debt reports and open item reconciliations.
    • Processing, recording and payment of supplier invoices.
    • Preparation of regular bank reconciliations and cash flow.
    • Preparing adjusting accounting entries and schedules including correction of errors.
    • Monthly tax controls such as IVA, IPT.
    • Carry out analysis of data.
  • Support to the branch manager and the branch accountant with regards to potential new projects in relation to the Accounting and Finance Department.
  • Good data entry skills.
  • Ability to prepare basic financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Ability to promote ideas and improvement.
Qualification
  • High School or higher-level diploma with specialization in Bookkeeping, Accounting and Finance.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in an Accounting environment. Involvement in the Insurance Sector or in the Auditing area is a plus.
  • Knowledge of computerized financial software packages.
  • General knowledge of Italian tax procedures and reporting.
  • Confident handling of common MS Office applications, in particular excel.
  • Good knowledge of English language.
  • High level of self-motivation and resilience.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently are necessary skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with minimum supervision especially at month and year end.
