Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Software Integrator and Integration/Qualification Test Engineer with at least 6 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive software integration and test strategy ensuring that integrated software meets all defined requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of software testing methodologies traceability and defect management with experience in handling complex integrated systems.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Integrate the software units into larger software items consistent with the software architecture and test the integrated software.

1) Integrate software units to software items and software items to integrated software.

2) Develop integration and qualification test strategies to provide evidence for compliance with the project requirements.

3)Develop corresponding test cases.

3) Perform integration and qualification testing using VectorCAST or similar tools and record results.

4) Ensure consistency and bidirectional traceability with requirements designs and software.

5) Summarize and communicate integration test results as a part of the delivery package.

6) Manage relevant tasks using PTC Application Lifecycle Management.

Details of Key Responsibilities:

  1. Integrate software units to software items and software items to integrated software.

  1. Create and implement a software integration test strategy including a regression test strategy to test interactions between software units and software items.

  1. Utilize VectorCAST to perform software integration tests and document/track test results.

  1. Integrate software units into software items and software items into the overall integrated software system to ensure all components work together without issues.

  1. Ensure that selected test cases cover all critical interactions and interfaces within the integrated software system.

  1. Execute record and communicate test results.

  1. Design a robust software qualification test strategy including regression testing to thoroughly test integrated software.

  1. Ensure that the qualification test strategy is comprehensive addressing all aspects of software functionality and performance.

  1. Create detailed specifications for software qualification testing that align with the test strategy and ensure compliance with software requirements and standards.

  1. Perform qualification testing on the integrated software using the selected test cases.

  1. Establish and maintain bidirectional traceability between software requirements and the software integration and qualification test specifications including test cases.

  1. Effectively communicate test results as part of the final delivery package ensuring that stakeholders are fully informed of the softwares integration and qualification status.

  1. Use PTC Application Lifecycle Management to manage tasks and defects related to software testing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in software engineering Systems Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • 6 years of experience in software integration and qualification testing with a focus on complex embedded software systems.

  • Proficiency in integration testing tools such as Vector CAST.

  • Proficiency in test management tools such as PTC.

  • Proficiency in requirements management tools such as PTC Integrity IBM DOORS Next Generation (DNG) or similar.

  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles including integration strategies testing methodologies and traceability.

  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to integrate and test complex software systems effectively.

  • Strong communication collaboration and proactive leadership skills with experience working in crossfunctional teams

  • Experience in generating traceability reports and conducting formal reviews of software integration test results.

  • Strong understanding of the software VCycle and the Automotive SPICE 3.0 process reference model.

  • Familiar with C and/or C in embedded systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the automotive industry

  • Experience with automotive HVAC controllers
