You will need to login before you can apply for a job.Principal, Employee Relations Business Partner, Employee Experience and Relations (EXR)Sector: Human ResourcesRole: PartnerContract Type: PermanentHours: Full TimeDESCRIPTIONThe Employee Relations (ER) Business Partner is part of the Employee Experience and Relations (EXR) field ER organization and reports into EU Senior ER Customer Fulfillment (CF) Partner, supporting CF across Europe (EUR). They act as a trusted advisor who connects business challenges to ER activities and outcomes, partnering with business lines on pan EUR employee and labor relations risk identification and mitigation strategies, supporting organizational change, and responding to emerging business and risk opportunities at EUR level.They work in close collaboration with the Senior ER CF Partner, Country Field ER teams, and respective Head of Country ER Leadership to deliver CF specific country insights and ensure that fair, consistent, and transparent employee and labor relations processes are applied across all CF operations.They partner effectively with support teams for CF needs and do not think in silos; they are collectively ER custodians of cross-border and cross-business lines (BL) collaboration and communication. They possess significant employee and labor relations expertise, high judgment, analytical, and communication skills.Where applicable, they will support the BL to ensure Amazon works with and respects the rights and experience of employees to establish and join internal employee representative bodies (ERBs); engagement in constructive relationships and dialogue and operational strategy in terms of ERBs and external employee representatives; the promotion, safeguarding, and advocacy for positive relationships and experience with third-party delivery service providers to ensure the business has the maximum flexibility to operate and deliver for our customers.Key job responsibilitiesLabor Relations Advice and Strategy:Design and implement BL-specific ER strategyIdentify trends, mitigate risks, develop pan-EUR strategiesHandle crisis issues with ER HOC and Senior ER BL PartnerProvide timely advice on employee and labor relationsOperational Excellence:Use data to develop persuasive narratives and recommendationsLead large-scale, network-wide projects improving frontline experienceDeliver innovative solutions challenging industry status quoDevelop engagement mechanisms for positive workplace environmentsLeadership Capabilities:Work independently in ambiguous situationsAct as trusted advisor for ER business line relationshipsBuild constructive relationships with stakeholdersProduce high-quality written communications analyzing problems and solutionsSelf Development:Seek learning opportunities and champion new ideasReflect on strengths and growth areas, seeking feedbackLead authentically through self-awareness and transparencyBuild diverse network of leaders across the organizationDevelop strong working relationships with internal and external partnersA day in the life:1:1s with relevant BL leadersRegular connects with field Regional HRM/HRBP teamsRegular connects with field ER teamsRegular connects with peers within and in other ERP BL teamsRegular BL specific ER meetingsEUR ER reporting mechanisms1:1 with Manager (cadence TBC in each case)Monthly connects with relevant support team stakeholders such as Safety, Compliance, Legal, Public Policy, Public Relations, PxT, Loss Prevention, TERA, Tech, Change Management, Internal and External Communications, ACES, and Driver Support and ExperienceBASIC QUALIFICATIONSUniversity degree and at least 10 years of professional experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law with an emphasis on laborFluency in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in at least one other European language is desirableLabor and employment law knowledgePossess strong change management, leadership, negotiation, and influencing skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSGood analytical skillLaw degree / legal background preferredConfident handling of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word) and HR information systemsRelevant post graduate education in human resources or employee/labor relationsHigh social skillsFlexibility and very good organizational skillsFast comprehension and high judgmentStrong team playerAbility to travel 50% or more of the timeAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
