GeoSolutions is looking for talented software engineers for the Frontend Web Developer position which would mainly involve designing and implementing web-based geospatial applications as well as providing support for our flagship open source frontend product MapStore (https://mapstore.geosolutionsgroup.com/).Main Responsibilities are as follows:Design and implementation of new MapStore featuresPerforming Code ReviewsProviding guidance and leadership to other member of the MapStore teamQualifications are as follows:3+ years of experience as frontend developer with React-JS ecosystem1+ years of experience with webmapping applications & visualizing geospatial dataWorking knowledge of mapping frameworks like Leaflet, OpenLayers, Cesium, Maplibre is requiredKnowledge of web development (REST Services) with Python or Java is a plusBeing fluent in English, both written and spokenIf you have no experience with developing webmapping frontends your application will not be consideredMore on qualificationsYou are comfortable working independently, while functioning as part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, dialogue, development, learning, and growth.You care about solving big, systemic problems. You look beyond the surface to understand root causes so that you can build long-term solutions for the whole ecosystem.You are a person open to developing new ideas and contributing expertise, who enjoys challenges, seeks knowledge, and is a team builder.You can analyze product requirements, manage tasks and partner with your teammates to match the deadlines.Note that our intention is to establish a long-term relationship. We are a remote first company, however the ideal candidate should work from a time zone between GMT-1 and GMT+3.Relocation is not requested and as such we are not envisioning any relocation support package.Notice that the selection process will most probably include an exercise to test your React/Redux skills.
