GeoSolutions is looking for talented software engineers for the Frontend Web Developer position which would mainly involve designing and implementing web-based geospatial applications as well as providing support for our flagship open source frontend product MapStore ( Responsibilities are as follows:- Design and implementation of new MapStore features - Performing Code Reviews - Providing guidance and leadership to other member of the MapStore teamQualifications are as follows:- 3+ years of experience as frontend developer with React-JS ecosystem - 1+ years of experience with webmapping applications & visualizing geospatial data - Working knowledge of mapping frameworks like Leaflet, OpenLayers, Cesium, Maplibre is required - Knowledge of web development (REST Services) with Python or Java is a plus - Being fluent in English, both written and spoken - If you have no experience with developing webmapping frontends your application will not be consideredMore on qualifications- You are comfortable working independently, while functioning as part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, dialogue, development, learning, and growth. - You care about solving big, systemic problems. You look beyond the surface to understand root causes so that you can build long-term solutions for the whole ecosystem. - You are a person open to developing new ideas and contributing expertise, who enjoys challenges, seeks knowledge, and is a team builder. - You can analyze product requirements, manage tasks and partner with your teammates to match the deadlines.Note that our intention is to establish a long-term relationship.We are a remote first company, however the ideal candidate should work from a time zone between GMT-1 and GMT+3.Relocation is not requested and as such we are not envisioning any relocation support package.Notice that the selection process will most probably include an exercise to test your React/Redux skills.
