Customer Application Engineer

Role Summary / Purpose The Customer Application Engineer is a key role in the Commercial Service organization being responsible for defining preparing and managing the technical proposals for contractual LTSAs in terms of Scope of Work and Costs and in supporting the commercial organization in the deal s n egotiation . Partner the best In the role the successful candidate will bring technical expertise into commercial operation strengthening relationship with CoEs and critical functions such as Technical Sales Engineering Global Operations Knowledge Service Risk Product Leadership and external vendors as well as actively participating to Customer negotiations as focal point for technical contents. The Customer Application Engineer work closely with the Regional Commercial team as a key partner in the strategy development to create winning proposals providing technical expertise in analyzing Customers needs and selecting and developing the most competitive BH technical solutions. Responsibilities Analyzing the technical specification for tender and Requests for Quotation in general taking care of the Scope of Supply and risk factors evaluation Defining and prepare the Scope of Work including : Covered Unit(s); Planned Maintenance description; Outage duration & resources needsReliability availability performance guarantees risk and reward evaluationSafety / Mandatory Spare Parts stock definition and relevant impact on system availabilityOperating conditions and assumptions Site management team roles and responsibility Providing guidance to the relevant Center of Excellence and Functions (Services Engineering Global Operations etc.) when appropriate and engage the relevant functions to manage deviations and / or specific requests to drive competitiveness and optimization of the LTSA proposal generation Working closely with the commercial manager and sales manager actively participating in the Contractual Services negotiation phase especially focused on the technical scope of the maintenance services Fuel your Passion To be successful in this role you should have : Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering / related to Mechanical Good knowledge of rotating equipments particularly of Gas Turbines 2-5 years of industry experience in a role as Project Engineer Design Engineer Application Engineer and / or Project Manager Experience or exposure to Artificial intelligence good to have Fluent spoken and written English Have a permanent work permit in Italy Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone this role we can offer the following flexible working patterns : Working flexible hours - flexing the times when you work in the day to help you fit everything in and work when you are the most productive Working with us Our people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
