Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, it is present in more than 50 countries around the world and employs about 30,000 people of over 130 nationalities.Purpose Of The PositionAs System Engineering Manager you will join our Department 3DModelling, in the business line Asset Based Services (No Drilling).ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and supervise engineering design activities related to critical plant areas (underground network, 3D CAD model, complex package systems, modules, etc.) in accordance with contract requirements and project objectives in terms of time, cost, and quality.Support the Project Management for specific engineering systems or plant areas, promoting active interaction within the engineering team and with other key project functions.Ensure definition of engineering systems and plant areas to find optimized, integrated, and competitive solutions and shared approach to tender documents.Provide engineering coordination and ensure proper communications among various disciplines on specific engineering systems/plant areas to find optimized, integrated, competitive solutions and shared approach to contractual requirements.Carry out all engineering activities in defined engineering systems/plant areas that support procurement of materials and construction.Coordin e multidisciplinary engineering activities for a defined system/plant area carried out by external Saipem Engineering Operating Centres.Facilitate technical decisions in case of different positions or conflicts between disciplines.Review and apply contractual documents within own area of responsibility.Supervise issue of multidisciplinary engineering deliverables within own area of responsibility.Ensure proper interdisciplinary verifications and controls during engineering activities.Manage changes in engineering limiting impact on construction feasibility.Participate in contract management giving technical support on variation requests and change orders.Control material quantities and engineering man‑hours during the course of the project to anticipate potential misalignments and prepare dedicated recovery plans.Participate in Project Risk management and engineering reviews.Participate in constructability reviews, assuring that required action are implemented into engineering design.Support Project/Technical Management in relation with the Client on 3D Model and defined engineering systems/plant area.Supervise start‑up and execution of 3D Model activities until 3D Model hand‑over to Site.Coordinate 3D model reviews supervising outcomes.Define/finalize the plan/schedule of multidisciplinary engineering systems.Prepare engineering documents for a defined system/plant area giving correct priorities and sequences as per defined plans/construction schedule.Freeze project engineering documents/engineering close‑out as per schedule for specific engineering systems/plant areas.Contribute to project reporting/handover activities for engineering.QualificationsStrong sense of personal accountability in decision‑making and supervising departmental teams.Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.Diploma or Bachelor Degree.Minimum of 7 years of proven technical supervisory experience with people or projects.Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and verbal.IT SkillsAutodesk AutoCADAutodesk NavisworksSoft SkillsProblem solvingCommunicationTeamworkingWhat Can We Offer To YouPermanent ContractCorporate Benefits: health insurance, internal gym, discounts and partnerships, services related to health, family, well‑being, and in‑house cafeteria.Hybrid working model: Smart Working options and flexible hours to help you achieve a better work‑life balance.One Saipem Way soft skills model leverages on skills development, career growth, opportunities to innovate through complex challenges by promoting communication and collaboration to achieve common goals.Location: Milano Santa Giulia.
