Overview Job Offer – South European Business Developer – Energy Transition & Shipbuilding Permanent Contract – Location Italy At Lynxeo, we are ready to electrify the industry. Business Unit’s Presentation The Business Developer reports to the Segment Manager for the countries, and works in close collaboration with other team members in sales, marketing, legal, product management, front- and back office and business controlling. The actions of the Business Developer are guided by a commercial strategy and objectives for the segments.
The targets are set annually and reviewed quarterly. The role reports weekly and monthly on progress towards the targets.
Responsibilities
Selling a range of products, services and solutions to clients in the South Europe. Develop Lynxeo position on the Energy Transition & Shipbuilding segments. Represent Lynxeo at A, B and targeted C customers and prospects by executing the commercial action plan to maximise sales/commercial margin, in coherence with the pricing strategy defined for the segment. Manage the full sales process, from prospecting to elaboration of commercial proposals, and from order management to cash collection.
Achieve sales and commercial margin objectives according to the Commercial Action Plan. Maintain intimate knowledge of target customers/markets, competitors and industry trends; define levers for profitable growth; develop and execute a sales action plan; target A/B customers, prospects and visits; promote the value proposition; develop relationships and continuously identify new opportunities; propose improvements in the customer and product portfolio and pricing; improve monthly Sales Forecasts Accuracy. Identify projects and prospects generating profitable business in the short term (1 year); manage a portfolio of customers to meet or exceed budget; ensure Lynxeo receives RfQs; select opportunities aligned with strategy; prepare offers; ensure alignment with the customer bidding process and involve relevant support functions. Information and reporting: record visit reports in the CRM, keep databases up to date, provide monthly reports and forecasts for S&OP processes, participate in S&OP meetings.
Qualifications
Technical skills Master’s degree in Sales/Negotiation or equivalent. More than 10 years of experience dealing with EPCs for Oil & Gas, Chemical or Energy Transition applications. Soft skills Strong interpersonal skills and customer service mindset. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Analytical skills and ability to assess competencies. Autonomy, proactivity, and a results-driven mindset.
