Base pay range $200.00/hr - $200.00/hr Overview 2 Hour Learning seeks a technical product leader with the depth to operate as a CTO and the vision to drive transformational change in AI-powered education. This role demands technical rigor, product ownership at the executive level, and a commitment to unlocking student potential at scale. Unlike most companies that layer AI onto conventional education frameworks, 2 Hour Learning has reconstructed the school model from first principles. By integrating AI and learning science as the foundation, we have eliminated the limitations of traditional classrooms. This is not a conventional product management position centered on feedback loops or iterative feature releases. You will assume technical product ownership at the executive tier, governing the architecture, technical strategy, and AI integration across our entire learning platform. Your mandate is to make the critical technical tradeoffs that keep our products lean, scalable, and laser-focused on student outcomes. You will combine the mindset of a CTO with the velocity of a product entrepreneur, merging engineering discipline with learning science to deliver continuous breakthroughs. What You Will Be Doing Cultivating and applying deep expertise in education products to inform strategic decisions Authoring technical specifications that resolve critical technical decisions while prioritizing simplicity, efficiency, and long-term sustainability Deploying generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering workflows, supporting the strategic objective of minimizing manual effort What You Won’t Be Doing Pure people management; this position relies on your business acumen and technical expertise Spending time in meetings, committees, and administrative overhead; we have automated management tasks to enable you to focus on hands-on value creation Delivering high-level strategy without actionable implementation guidance; your recommendations must be grounded in product-level analysis Director Of Product Architecture Key Responsibilities Serve as the CTO for one or more education products, owning core competencies and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic decision-making Basic Requirements Significant experience or demonstrated interest in data-driven learning science 7+ years of experience leading critical architecture and design decisions on software projects, including the application of architecture design patterns or major open source technologies 2+ years of experience making design decisions that involve cloud computing services (primarily AWS) 4+ years of experience in roles with complete technical and delivery ownership of a revenue-generating product Experience building product features that leverage advanced Generative AI capabilities Experience applying Generative AI to streamline work processes About 2 Hour Learning Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn’t have to be. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
