What You Will Be Doing Sustaining and demonstrating comprehensive education product expertise to inform strategic decisions Creating technical specifications that address critical technical decisions and emphasize simplicity, efficiency, and long‑term sustainability Deploying generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering workflows, consistent with the strategic objective of minimizing manual effort What You Won’t Be Doing Pure people management; this position depends critically on your business and technical expertise Spending time in meetings, committees, and administrative processes; we have automated management overhead to enable you to concentrate on delivering business value through direct, hands‑on work High‑level strategies lacking implementation guidance; your recommendations must be grounded in product‑level insights Director Of Product Architecture Key Responsibilities Serve as the CTO for one or more education products, owning core competencies and generating business value through seamless execution and strategic decision‑making Basic Requirements Deep experience or interest in data‑driven learning science 7+ years of experience making the important architecture and design decisions on software projects, such as the application of architecture design patterns or significant open source technologies 2+ years of experience making design decisions involving the use of cloud computing services (primarily AWS) 4+ years of experience in positions with full technical and delivery ownership on a revenue‑generating product Experience building product features that make advanced use of Generative AI Experience using Generative AI to simplify work processes About 2 Hour Learning Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn’t have to be. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
