Assistant Director, Admissions Employment Opportunities Designed to Help Us Collaborate in Creation Position Details Job Title: Assistant Director Admissions Position Number: Job Category: University Staff Job Type: Full‑time FLSA Status: Exempt Location: Northern California (Bay Area) / Pacific Northwest Work Modality: Off‑Campus / Remote Responsibilities Recruit prospective freshmen across Northern California and the Pacific Northwest, targeting high schools, college fairs, outreach events, and other recruitment activities. Live in the Bay Area and travel within the assigned territory to engage with students, families, and other constituencies, maintaining daily communication. Represent Loyola at high school visit days, college fairs, counselor events, and other recruitment programs. Build and maintain relationships with high school and community college counselors. Plan and arrange travel per university and departmental policies, including travel to Chicago for large admission events, fall open houses, and Loyola Weekend. Use CRM (Slate) for individual contact, reporting, planning, and evaluation. Engage and participate in professional organizations for recruitment and networking. Read and review application files from the assigned territory and other markets, making timely admission decisions. Participate in recruitment, yield, and orientation events on‑ and off‑campus. Develop and execute programming for target groups, including college counselors in major markets. Establish a home office in the assigned territory. Work independently with minimal supervision. Perform related duties as required. Minimum Education and/​or Work Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three‑to‑five years of admissions experience. Qualifications Experience in recruitment and admission is required. Understanding of the financial aid process is beneficial. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to form effective working relationships. Team player with adaptability to a dynamic environment. Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Bilingual skills are beneficial but not required. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Capacity to articulate the values and mission of a Jesuit institution. Certificates/Credentials/Licenses A valid driver’s license and vehicle access are required. Computer Skills Proficiency with MS Office Suite and recruitment software, including Technolutions Slate, PeopleSoft, and DocFinity.
