Lead E-commerce Solutions Engineer We are looking for a seasoned professional with a passion for innovation and a track record of success with complex e-commerce solutions. With at least 8 years of experience in software engineering and solution design, they should possess a deep understanding of complex, distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design and Implementation:
- Lead design and implementation of scalable, high-performance e-commerce solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions for customers and stakeholders.
Platform Architecture Management:
- Oversee platform architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Define and refine system components, interfaces, and integration points.
Technology Evaluation and Adoption:
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance the e-commerce platform.
- Stay updated on industry trends to drive innovation and improvement.
System Integration and Interoperability:
- Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Implement standards for data exchange and interoperability.
Performance Optimization and Scalability:
- Monitor platform performance and identify bottlenecks.
- Develop strategies to optimize performance and scalability.
Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
- Ensure best practices and high-quality code with development teams.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Requirements:
- Expertise in managing and evolving large-scale web architectures, preferably in e-commerce.
- Proficiency in system integration, API design, and microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Brilliant problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture, with a focus on e-commerce systems.

What to expect next…
First and foremost, we take great care to go through each and every application we receive in order to determine if the candidate fits the profile we're looking for. After this initial interview, if the candidate is an initial match, a second interview with the IT hiring team will take place, followed by an optional test and a final confirmation interview.
