Area Special Events Sales Agent, Italy

Will be responsible for performing the reservations and related functions (correspondence, booking handling, destination advice, client relations, etc.)
for the MICE, Celebration and Special Interest segments of the 7 Belmond Hotels in Italy and 1 Belmond Hotel in Spain, ensuring that clients receive an outstanding first impression and an impeccable service from the initial request until the confirmation of the program.
Reports to the Area Special Events Sales Managers.
Liaises with the Italian and Spanish General Managers, the Sales & Marketing staff in Milan and with the Belmond Worldwide Sales Offices.
Main Duties:
- To handle group requests for all different segments from qualifying, negotiating and contracting using sales techniques and persuasion strategies
- To collaborate closely and efficiently with on-property colleagues and colleagues on regional and global level on a daily basis
- To perform general office duties
- To develop and maintain great relationship with clients
- To ensure that company guidelines are always respected in each business process
- To maintain and develop knowledge of our hotels, our destinations and of our competitor hotels
**Requirements**:
- Strong organizational skills in task management
- Good knowledge of service and reservations concepts, sales tactics and processes
- High attention to detail and follows through to conclusion
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a multi-task environment and under pressure
- Is customer focused and possess a problem solving attitude
- EU passport or legal permit to work in Italy
