The research group of Fran Supek is looking for an engaged laboratory technician with experience in molecular biology techniques.
The position is fixed-term for 4 months and is immediately open for appointment.
About us
The Supek group is home to a highly interdisciplinary team, working at the intersection of genomics, molecular biology, and artificial intelligence.

The lab employs cutting-edge technologies in DNA/RNA sequencing (e.g.
Nanopore data generation and analysis), gene editing (e.g.
Cas12a combinatorial disruption) and artificial intelligence (e.g.
DNA and protein language models).
Your tasks
As our laboratory technician/bioanalyst, you will carry out a number of routine laboratory tasks, e.g.
mammalian cell culture, PCR, library prep for sequencing (Nanopore and/or Illumina), preparation of laboratory reagents and other daily lab routines including administrative tasks.
You will also participate in various research projects that involve close collaboration with the group's postdoctoral scientists.
Profile
Essential experience and skills:
It is important that you have experience with molecular biology techniques.Should hold a degree as laboratory technician or bioanalyst (academy profession degree or similar).You must be good at working independently and organized, and be self-motivated.Have good interpersonal and communication skills, either English or Danish; spoken and written.Desirable experience and skills:
Cell culture, flow cytometry.DNA/RNA purification and PCR.Library prep for sequencing.Terms of salary and employment
Your employment will be at BRIC, University of Copenhagen.
The position is part-time (15 hours per week) and for 4 months, and it is open for appointment as soon as possible.
Employment as bioanalyst will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and Danske Bioanalytikere.
Employment as laboratory technician will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and OAO/HK STAT.
The position is placed in salary group 3.
Depending on qualifications a supplement may be negotiated.
