Position Overview:
The regional sales manager will play a crucial role in increasing market share and driving sales within Italy. This role involves developing business with both existing and new customers, managing distribution channels, writing end user specifications, and achieving sales value and margin objectives. You will be instrumental in executing the sales strategy, achieving revenue targets, and ensuring the overall success of our sales efforts.
Key Account Management:
Create strategy to grow key accounts.
Communicate strategy to involved Arlon parties (Sales Associates, Technical, Marketing, Service, Management)
Create strong relationships with key executives in all the distribution in the region.
Lead the execution of plans and report out to all stakeholders.
Facilitate the creation and execution of joint marketing plans.
Help create a culture based on Arlon's core values.
Lead quarterly reviews to ensure all parties (internal and external) are delivering on plans and achieving results.
Exceed annual Sales and GM budgets. You will be responsible for executing the overall sales strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders is crucial. You will work closely with major distributors and clients, understand their unique needs, and ensure they receive exceptional service.
Distributor Management: Motivate your distributor network to maximize sales through a range of activities and events including training, joint customer visits, promotions and incentives.
Create End User Specifications : You will be responsible for creating a target list of end users and writing specifications to drive sales.
Market Analysis: Staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback is paramount. Your ability to analyze this information and adapt strategies accordingly will be instrumental in our success.
CRM System : Keep up to date and accurate records.
Sales Reporting: You will regularly prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management. These reports will influence strategic decisions and help drive the company's growth.
Sales Process Optimization: Continuously improve our sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This includes refining lead generation, qualification, and conversion processes.
Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of our products/services and industry trends. You will effectively communicate this knowledge to stakeholders, distributors, clients, team members, and other stakeholders to drive informed decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a unified approach to meeting customer needs and achieving company objectives.
Geographic Expansion: Creating a Distribution network in countries outside of your assigned region as agreed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline is advantageous.
Sales education with a focus on consultative or solutions selling is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the graphics signage industry, with a strong understanding of digital print media and modern printing methods (solvent, eco-solvent, latex, UV) is required. ( mandatory requirement )
Strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with technical coatings and laminating processes is a plus.
Exceptional communication skills in both English and Italian.
Ability to manage time effectively and work remotely. International driving license and valid passport required. High-level contacts in key end customers, converters, distributors, and OEMs are desirable.
Personal Attributes: Proven track record of over-achievement and notable sales achievements. Well-rounded, driven, and capable of managing the sales process from cold calling to lead generation and sales pipeline management. Strong influencing skills, confident presence, and a "win-win" mentality are essential. Ability to travel frequently within the territory (up to 80% of the time).
