**Job Purpose**:
The PJD's primary purpose is to grow the business with a clear focus on delivering sales and ROI within the RDBU Rare Disease portfolio.
A senior position within the cluster leadership team with input into strategic decisions, responsible for operational decisions to support implementation of the strategic plan and oversee revenue generation elements of KKI's promotional roles.
Responsible for coaching, leading and managing a team of Patient Journey Managers.
This team's remit is partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high quality scientific exchange, co-create and orchestrate initiatives, aligned to KKI priorities and strategy across the patient journey that deliver improved outcomes and optimize the impact of KKI products to the benefit of patients, aligned with our mission to make people smile
**Responsibilities**:
An Italy based role within the Southern Cluster organisation in charge of operational performance, working with a cross-functional cluster leadership team (composing of Medical, Sales, Marketing, Access etc) and reporting directly into the Cluster General Manager to develop and execute country plans.
Accountable for business performance against these plans, overall revenue targets, and delivering ROI within the Rare Disease Business Unit (RDBU) portfolio, receiving directions and instructions from the General Manager, and leading a field based promotional team of Patient Journey Managers (PJMs).
- Key role within cluster senior leadership team reporting to Cluster General manager,
- Responsibility for contribution to Cluster P&L through delivery of cluster revenue targets, and effective budget management, realised through effective management of local PJM business plans and ensuring implementation of the sales operational plan as agreed with General Manager and a cross-functional network of peers
- First line managerial activities, including managing a field based team of PJMs, and providing continuous coaching, monitoring and prioritisation to enable achievement of KPIs
- Plan the effective use of resources to achieve targets and address complex business-critical decisions e.g.
budget allocation, workforce planning, product planning
- Build and maintain a highly proficient, scientifically literate, engaged, and enabled team, through performance management, continuous coaching and development
- Influences cluster leadership team to prepare country-level plans, and take accountability of execution against these plans for the whole organisation
- Performance coaching PJMs through regular contact and field time, and setting the direction for their field team
- Demonstrates company values, promotes, and maintains a culture of high standards, compliance and adherence to local regulations and company policy

Qualifications:
- Significant experience in pharmaceutical sales, Key Account Management, and management of commercial or medical teams, ideally in leadership roles (3-5 at least)
- Experience influencing, managing, and leading cross-functional teams (Marketing, Medical, Sales, Access, etc) in Pharmaceutical matrix organisations
- Excellent direct and indirect people management skills, with an ability to build and manage high performing, motivated team via performance management, coaching, and mentoring
- Knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas (Haematology, Oncology or Rare Disease experience beneficial)
- Ability to analyse and interpret sales data and guide business decision making based on insight
- Italian speaking and good level of English
- Extensive knowledge of local, regional, and national health systems and care delivery processes
- Extensive knowledge of framework of pharmaceutical and local regulations and Farmindustria Code
- Experience taking ownership of national level plans, including delivering on sales and revenue targets by operating with a budget
