Liberty Specialty Markets Claims department handles claims through all stages from initial notification to conclusion including analysis of new notifications, coverage, liability and quantum, establishing and monitoring appropriate reserves and making claims payments as required.
Key ResponsibilitiesHelp achieve our vision of being a leading provider of commercial claims solutions, delivering a first-class claims handling service.Handle and resolve claims efficiently and fairly in accordance with the Claims Charter/Code of Conduct and Claims Process Guidelines.Follow at all times applicable claims reserving philosophy and claims standards with appropriate referral.Liaise closely with relevant stakeholders throughout the life cycle of the claim, including the policyholder, broker, co-insurers, actuaries, and underwriters.Ensure compliance with best practice, service, and communication through system reporting and internal file audits.Ensure compliance with approved Panel list including provision of direction to external lawyers and adjusters.Work with underwriters and business development managers to promote good working practices and relationships with clients.Ensure good file maintenance and record keeping.Promote the LSM Claims Charter and Code of Conduct, delivering excellence in client service.Adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements, demonstrating behaviours as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy, which relate to your role. Understand responsibilities relating to all regulatory and internal requirements, and proactively demonstrate compliance with these requirements and behaviours at all times, including Solvency II, fair treatment of customers, Financial Crime, Data Protection, Conflicts of Interest, and Whistleblowing.Skills and ExperiencePrevious claims experience in the London Market in relevant classes.Advanced knowledge of claims handling concepts, practices, procedures, and techniques, including coverage issues, product lines, marketing, IT, and product competition within the marketplace.Knowledge of law and insurance regulations in various jurisdictions.The ability to effectively interact with brokers and internal departments is essential.Strong verbal, written communication, and organization skills.Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.Willingness to mix tasks and work in a changing environment to achieve the efficient operation of the claims team.ACII qualified or working towards.Ability to decide the complexity of claims on prescribed rules.About Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM)Liberty Specialty Markets is part of Global Risk Solutions and the broader Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, which is a leading global insurer.
