Within SSAB Special Steels, we are now looking for a strategic, technical skilled Regional Sales Manager for our sales team in Italy. We are looking for someone located and well familiar with the central and south part of Italy - where the main responsibility will be to develop sales and growth plans towards our existing and new customers in this region.
Extensive travelling is required in this role.

About the position
As Regional Sales Manager within the sales and marketing function, you have the responsibility to develop sales of wear resistant and high strength steels through technical support. To succeed in this role you are in the beginning of your career, preferably graduated with a degree in business administration, economics or engineering. The role includes developing new customers, segments and applications as well as upgrading existing and new customers to more advanced materials. You will drive the development of local sales and marketing activities towards our customers but in collaboration with a team of Technical support and Inside sales.
Main responsibilities
Develop strategic goals for the area, secure yearly sales and marketing targets.
Participate in marketing actions and visit workshops and end-users on a regular basis. You will analyze and develop the strategy to increase end-user reach.
Independently set up sales representations, contracts, proposals and negotiate offers, prices and other terms.
Document your key activities in our customer relationship management system Salesforce. Usually, you have several customer meetings per week and then do a follow-up, together with reporting and planning.
About You
You have some experience in sales in the steel, manufacturing or mining industry and are now eager to take the next step.
You preferably graduated with a degree in business administration, economics or engineering from a university, or college/higher education institution.
Professional working skills in Italian and English are required and you have to be resident in the central/south part of Italy.
To succeed in this role you have a proactive approach to new business opportunities and continued improvements, and you truly enjoy creating partnerships with internal & external customers.
We expect you to have the technical experience, and be motivated to work in the steel business and a genuine curiosity to learn more about steel making, properties and user benefits.
