Cellply is a life science tools company based in Bologna, Italy. We have developed and are launching a next generation analysis platform to transform immunotherapy discovery, development and quality control using novel single cell approaches to carry out multi-parametric assays in parallel from the same sets of cells. We are creating the new standard for fast, automated, and multiplexed assays that puts more critical data in the hands of immunotherapy researchers in basic science, pharma, release testing and beyond. Our first product is currently with customers in early access, and we are growing quickly and looking for an exceptional new team member to contribute to the product commercialization team.

As a Finance Manager in a fast-growing biotech company, your role will be crucial in overseeing and managing the financial activities of the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, providing financial analysis and insights, and contributing to strategic decision-making. Your expertise in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting will be essential in supporting the company's growth and profitability.

**Requirements**:
Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and manage the company's financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Provide accurate and timely financial reports, highlighting key insights and recommendations to support decision-making by the senior management team.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Present financial results to stakeholders, highlighting variances and key performance indicators.

Budget Management: Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets. Track actual expenses against budgeted amounts and analyze variances. Identify areas of cost optimization and work with stakeholders to implement strategies for efficient resource allocation.

Cash Flow Management: Manage the company's cash flow, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting future cash needs, and optimizing cash utilization. Coordinate with accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments and collections.

Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards. Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary adjustments to financial processes and reporting. Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.

Financial Strategy and Risk Management: Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities. Develop and implement risk management strategies, including internal controls and mitigation plans.

Tax Planning and Compliance: Collaborate with external tax advisors to develop tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Coordinate the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Financial Systems and Processes: Continuously review and improve financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices in financial management and recommend appropriate software tools or systems to support financial operations.

**Required qualifications**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
