Rare Disease Patient Journey Manager Location:
Southern Italy This is what you will do:
Patient Journey Lead is a senior level role within Alexion Astra Zeneca Rare Disease. The holder of this role will lead the way for innovative solutions on the patient journey in order to improve diagnostics in certain rare diseases Work closely with all external & internal stakeholders directly involved in the patient journey (in a given therapeutic or disease area) to gain a deep understanding of their needs in order to enhance Alexion’s capabilities to contribute with meaningful solutions Collaborate with HCP, Health Care Organizations, Regional Scientific Societies, Regional HC organizations and others to identify roadblocks and propose solutions to unlock opportunities that expedite the patient journey and deliver value for patients and the community. Share best practive and connect Hospital/Regions to promote best in class initiatives. Use broad understanding of present product portfolio and future pipeline to contribute to future-based solutions in collaboration with other internal stakeholders. Identify and use proper KPIs to evaluate the efficacy and efficiency of the solutions implemented Constantly align with Marketing, Sales and Xfunctional leads to ensure alignment among Company’s strategic priorities and key activities deployment Being a role model in terms of collaboration, proactivity and project management excellent execution You will be responsible for:
Identify and propose innovative solutions that enable key accounts and the Regions to improve the diagnostics experience, focusing on gaining a deep understanding of the patient journey in each key account and Region. Identifying barriers and lead the way to innovative solutions with external stakeholders (Regional Scientific Societies, Hospitalsetc) that overcome diagnosis barriers in order to increase the efficiency of diagnosis of rare diseases in patients. Collaborate with the Xfunctional team and with Marketing and Sales Lead to ensure the consistency among Company’s strategic priorities and project execution Overseeing the patient journey in its entirety to identify shared purpose among stakeholders and to leverage this to enable optimal solutions for patients. You will need to have:
University degree in science-related field. An advanced degree in Life science and a Master is a plus Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset with commercial experience. Minimum 2 years experience in rare Disease. Ability to understand and leverage innovative methodologies and tools Deep experience in agile ways of working Strong analytical skills Curiosity Action-oriented, resilient and innovative approach Experience of formulating cross-functional strategies and coordinating cross-functional teams Outstanding partnering capabilities (coaching, consulting, listening deeply, questioning and understanding) Pioneering mindset with the ablility to learn quickly, be proactive, pilot for solutions, contributing to the learning cycle by sharing knowledge internally Ability to work both autonomously and cross-functionally We would prefer for you to have:
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills including partnering with TAEs and external scientific organizations. Experience leading cross-functional teams. Deep understanding of patient journey(s) and related treatments in rare disease areas, enabling engagement at the specialist level. Robust understanding of strategies and tactics employed in the Rare Diseases Area Familiar with digital tools Experience working with Regional Scientific Societies Work out in the field 80% of the time.
