The Global Segment Specialist, Railway will be part of the Global M&S organization of the railway segment. In this role you will be responsible to lead the ABB ELDS sales activities for the assigned key customers and countries working in conjunction and close cooperation with the local sales organization to promote the ABB portfolio and solutions to customers. The Global Segment Specialist, Railway will champion the sales growth initiatives and develop key relationships with railway stakeholders: EPCs, system integrators, consulting companies, railway and urban transportation operators in order to achieve ABB market penetration and growth aspirations. This position’s specific duties include marketing activities, capturing opportunities at the early stage, driving user specifications, achieving segment sales targets and ensuring customer satisfaction. Reporting to Railway Global Marketing and Sales Manager.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Implement the global railway segment sales strategy to reach the annual budget. Ensure regular follow-up with oversight countries. Drive the top-line growth of railway segment in each country and customers under your responsibility. Address any performance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Accountable for the overall railway segment budget and DC railway products’ budget based on key objectives set by Global Segment Leader. Ensure the maximum portfolio is offered in line with Business Line/Product Group strategy, according to local market needs and to segment approach.
- Continuously assess market trends, customers, competitors, and countries to identify early stage opportunities with stakeholders, existing and potential new customers. Give feedback to the Business Units/Product Groups on market trends, competitive landscape, market-pricing expectations and local conditions to win.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the key customers, stake-holders and other decision makers. Ensure effective marketing communications, in particular, foster ABB’s value proposition. Focus on ensuring and growing customer satisfaction.
- Ensure achievement of segment sales targets by providing target price and verifying internal set-up. Participate in negotiation of key contracts.
- Ensure both self and team always act with the highest standards of integrity and Health and Safety. Support the risk management process by giving feedback information for risk review process.
- Verify that the railway segment is properly organized and focused in the local sales organization of the countries of your region. Take steps to share and leverage cooperation across the Global M&S railway segment and local sales in the countries.

**Your background**:

- Strong sales process background, exceptional communication and negotiating skills and customer-focused mindset, able to lead/manage a cross-country capture team, team player with great people skills with exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills.
- Efficient in managing priorities. Must be well organized, responsible and accountable.
- Highly proficient in Sales Force, MS-Excel, Word, Power point.
- Advanced English level. Other languages are considered as a plus
