Regulatory Affairs Executive (Institutional/Public Affairs)

Join us in our Regulatory & Institutional Affairs team and you will support the development and implementation of action plans to obtain and secure a balanced regulatory and fiscal environment at national and international level with a specific focus on dossiers related to Italian and EU legislative framework. You will support External Affairs functions through research and analytical support on business-related key issues, as well as through identification of and engagement with relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, you will prepare drafts, policy documents in order to support company's global transformation and strategic vision and will coordinate directly with internal/external parties. Finally, you will provide support to the development of relations and activities with Institutions and representatives of Italian Parliament and Government, as well as with EU and global relevant stakeholders and the national industry value chain.

Specific responsibilities include:

- Support the monitoring of political and regulatory trends related to the industry and the business, regarding both conventional products and innovative made-in-Italy smoke-free products to support company's global transformation and strategic vision
- Provide research and analytical support in the development of External Affairs programs and systems to ensure the organization’s ability to operate in a competitive and cost effective way. Helps in the execution of the action plans to reach national and international regulatory priorities and strategies in coordination with Italian EA functions and EA/Regulatory Affairs group in Brussels and head quarter offices
- Prepare briefing reports, presentations on external affairs and PM Italy and assist in the preparation of documents to keep management informed about policy issues and corporate affairs policy
- Contribute to the engagement of relevant institutional stakeholders (opinion leaders, academia) on business-related key regulatory issues and to support corporate positioning. Collect and analyse available data on external political context to support business activities
- Coordinate directly with internal/external parties to support processes and business activities. Support the organization of public events and conferences with high institutional profiles, business and national value chain representatives
- Monitor legislative developments affecting the business and the external context

Who we’re looking for:

- University degree or Master in Law, Political Sciences, Business Administration, Economics or related fields
- At least 3 years of experience in political-related position (e.g. in local/EU administration or parliament) or within complex multinational companies
- Fluency in Italian and English is a must
- Experience with planning of institutional events
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify, process and analyse relevant information from multiple sources quickly
- Tailors’ language, tone, style and format to match the audience
- Proficiency with Office suite

What’s ‘nice to have’:

- Experience in regulatory issues, business development or finance in a high regulated sector is a great plus
- Great autonomy, flexibility and ability to prioritize
- Strong internal and external stakeholders’ management
- Good understanding of international relations, politics, social context
- Able to understand and adapt appropriately to cultural sensitivities
- Ability to negotiate with different types of stakeholders
- Agility to work in a complex and fluid environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Team player, positive attitude and willingness to share competencies
- Entrepreneurship and attention to details
