**Key Accountabilities**:
Compliance Monitoring:
- Ensure that the organization complies with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and track changes in regulations and update relevant stakeholders.
HSSE Risk Assessment:
- Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Collaborate with other departments to analyze and mitigate risks.
Training and Education:
- Support the development and delivery of HSSE training programs for employees.
- Help create educational materials to promote awareness of health and safety issues.
Incident Investigation:
- Participate in investigations of accidents, incidents, or near-misses to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Assist in the documentation of incidents and the implementation of corrective actions.
Data Analysis:
- Collect and analyze HSSE data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports on HSSE performance and make recommendations based on the analysis.
Emergency Response Planning:
- Contribute to the development and testing of emergency response plans.
- Assist in organizing drills and training exercises for emergency situations.
Inspections and Audits:
- Support regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSSE policies and procedures.
- Document findings and work with relevant teams to address any deficiencies.
Communication:
- Assist in the communication of HSE policies and procedures to employees.
- Participate in HSE meetings and collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to HSSE activities.
- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory agencies and internal audits.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSSE processes and procedures.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate relevant updates into the HSSE program.
**Education**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or Other
**Qualifications**:
- Having certifications related to International standards related to Management Systems (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc )
- OSHA 30-Hour or OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification.
- First Aid and CPR certifications.
- NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health).
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional).
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations is crucial.
- Fluent in English
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends related to health, safety, security and environmental performance.
