**Your future role**

You’ll be part of a wider global EHS network comprising of EHS Directors in our other regions and product lines with functional reporting to our Global VP of EHS.

The key dimension of the job is to **develop and lead Environment Health & Safety (EHS) strategy** across Europe working closely with the Europe management team and EHS colleagues in Europe. Europe is a large and complex region in Alstom, incorporating 6 clusters.

You'll be **responsible to lead the implementa**ti**on of Alstom strategy across the Region, **day-to-day you’ll support clusters and countries to **achieve the EHS performance **for the region and integrate information to meet regulatory requirements, while minimising the financial impact on the company.

We’ll look to you for:

- Making an important contribution to Alstom EHS Strategy, as well as the development and implementation of EHS priorities across Europe
- Supporting Europe Regional Management in achieving EHS performance
- Lead, develop and animate an EHS network across Europe to drive the EHS agenda, focusing on the 3 areas; Environment, Health & Safety
- Support tendering process in the Region for EHS related topics
- Developing EHS Management system and EHS Standardisation
- Ensuring compliance in the Region
- Developing EHS culture in the Region
- Report, Measure & Review (with focus on Alstom EHS Audit programs)

- University Engineer or Business Degree; Recognised Health and Safety Qualification to Diploma or Degree level with Environmental Qualification
- Significant experience of leading an EHS function within a complex industrial environment in a senior management role, ideally with international exposure
- Proven ability to influence and challenge colleagues to ensure EHS is at the forefront
- Being motivated & proactive with strong communication and influencing skills
- Natural ability to inspire and co-ordinate the management of large EHS teams
- Able to be prioritise and demonstrate resilience
- Strong at planning and organising as well as leading change
- Ideally Six Sigma training and or certifications Green or Black Belt.
- Availability for frequent travel across Europe region to our countries and sites
