**JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- We are looking for a Data Scientist that will support the creation of a logistics-focused data science team, aimed at leveraging Data Science technological advancements to improve the function’s productivity and develop high impact projects.-
**AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES**:

- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Use predictive modelling to increase process quality.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.

**TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE**
- Knowledge of statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.). Experience with machine learning libraries (like PyTorch) is a plus.
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
- STEM bachelor’s or master’s degree
