Within the Ground Segment Department of Domain Observation and Navigation Italy, he/she has to perform the Radar Ground Segment Verification and Validation engineering activities, with particular focus on planning V&V activities, defining test scenarios and test platforms, maintain requirements verification control through DVCMs (at segment and subsystem levels), with the aim to ensure a robust and complete verification and validation process for the Ground Segment of EO SAR Product family.

**Task description**:
As member of the Engineering Team he/she shall be in charge of:
- Analysis of input documentation at system and segment levels (e.g. system/GS/space-to-ground interface requirements, system operational concept, system and GS architecture and ICDs)
- Analysis of requirements at GS subsystem level
- Definition of GS AIV tasks for Integration and Verification/Validation
- Identification of Integration and Verification logic/strategy and AIV guidelines
- Identification of possible AIV risks areas and alternative paths
- Definition of GS AIV Master Plan and related schedule
- Definition of test scenarios, test dataset and test environment and platforms
- Maintain the requirements baseline verification status (through DVCM in DOORS and reporting docs)
- Participate to technical meeting (internal and with customer)
**Language**:fluent English, spoken and written
**Personal requirements**:
- Working heritage on major earth observation ground segment systems
- Knowledge of RADAR principles
- Knowledge of system engineering processes for requirements and solution integration and verification
- Knowledge of main EO mission programming schemes (user request management and mission planning) and typical mission constraints
- Knowledge of control segment main functions (flight dynamics, spacecraft control center)
- Knowledge of production management main functions (SAR processing orchestration)
- Knowledge of Ground Stations (S-Band, X-Band) main functions
- Knowledge of object programming in particular Python, and C ++.
- Knowledge of microservices SW design, DevOps methodology and cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Ability to relate to people to find information, share analysis results and facilitate "problem solving";
- Availability to travel;
- Excellent ability to work by deadlines
