Metallurgical Laboratory Specialist

**Job Description Summary**: At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

You will be part of metallurgical laboratory in Rivalta di Torino plant. You will be in charge of analisys and inspection activities supporting production areas in order to ensure products and materials conformity.

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Perform Laboratory analysis on metallic materials, and on the effect of the process variables on characteristics of metallic materials
- Ensure the proper functioning of equipment, including calibration according to applicable specification
- Share and discuss all evidences in a multiple skills team
- Check and issue report of results
- Support the development and the issued of Laboratory instructions/methods/procedures according to customer and international specification requirements
- Interact and manage activities with laboratory operators
- Support the preparation of customers and control authorities audits

**Qualification/Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical or Aeronautics
- Knowledge of metallic materials, special processes and machining
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Good communication and relational skills
- Knowledge of laboratory analysis and instrumentation
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
