**JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The mission of the position is to manage and improve warehouse processes, both in and out, dealing with internal suppliers (Essilor Instruments international) and with external (Topcon + other suppliers), keeping a lean management of stock rotation, stock depreciation and inventory.
In order to be compliant with corporate guidelines, warehouse activities must be tracked on a monthly base monitoring KPI’s provided.
New flows derived from BBGR instruments sales, and BBGR switch to SAP need to be integrated in the overall processes of Essilor Instruments.
The main success factor is linked to a better demand and sales process planning, in order to better align turnover of the division and warehouse management.
**AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES**:
- Ensuring the precise delivery of materials to our customer. This includes verifying accurate material location, selecting and delivery the correct quantity of materials to the right location, consistently, and on-time aligning the delivery agenda with field technicians activities.
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistic and shipping. Schedule and oversee warehouse team and distribution of work according to the load of tasks.
Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary.
- Warehouse analysis on monthly bases to improve inventory rotation and DIO (Days Inventory Outstanding) assuring the correct stock level for deliveries and SLA.
- Conduct physical counts and reconciling with data storage system to control inventory levels accurately. Ensure all defective and / or materials to be returned to vendors are continually organized within the warehouse and processed through the Business Operations team.
**NETWORK OF INTERACTION**:
**INTERNAL **:internal warehouse team (Pappadà, Lanzo, Caputo, Peraldo, Zambotti) : resource should smooth flow between the internal members of warehouse, mostly regarding : order management, suppliers management, repair center management.
**EXTERNAL **:sales reps, technicians on field, suppliers. Resource should align the actors on the field about the activity related to their customers.
**TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE**
- Educational Background or in Engineering or someone with optometry degree with strong Project management attitude.
- At least **2** years of experience in **project management/warehouse/supply chain, better if linked to eyewear industry**:
- Strong problem solving skills, also with attitude to warehouse activity skills.
- Solid experience with **Office software packages (excel)**:
- Solid experience in **SAP**
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**:
- **Educational Background**:Or in Engineering or someone with with strong Project management attitude: knowledge of optical industry and instruments is a plus
