**General context of the project***

INTERSOS is a humanitarian organization founded in 1992, working on the frontlines of crisis situations. In its countries of operation, INTERSOS intervenes to assist the most vulnerable populations affected by conflicts, extreme exclusion, and natural and manmade disasters in challenging and hard-to-reach areas, where the humanitarian needs continue to be the greatest and where the humanitarian presence is often weak. In such contexts, INTERSOS focuses on providing forcibly displaced populations and host communities with life-saving humanitarian assistance, in the areas of Protection, Health & Nutrition, as well as WASH and FSL.

INTERSOS operations are guided by its Charter of Values and by the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence. Every intervention is characterized by the centrality of the human being, the principle from which INTERSOS values descend. Specifically, INTERSOS is borderless, impartial, independent, sensitive to local cultures, attentive to local capacity, professional in solidarity, and transparent. INTERSOS also adheres to the Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief.

INTERSOS HR Department consists of the Recruitment Unit, the HR Management Unit, the Admin Unit, the Deployment Unit, and the Personnel Development Unit.
The Recruitment Unit is responsible for the recruitment of INTERSOS International personnel and develops and applies proper policies and procedures to ensure a transparent and fair hiring process.
As of June 2023, INTERSOS is operational in 23 countries.

**General purpose of the position***

The Recruitment Manager in charge of the recruitment of international staff (60%)

The Recruitment Manager is also in charge of promoting the dissemination and full implementation of the Recruitment Policy for National Staff in INTERSOS Missions.

**Main responsibilities and tasks***

**Recruitment of international staff**
Prepare collaboration proposals, according to the INTERSOS compensation structure, and submits them to the Area HRCO;

- Provide regular updates on recruitment activities and attends regularly scheduled staff meetings to participate in information sharing in the INTERSOS Recruitment Team and HR Department;

**Quality enhancement and innovation fostering**
- Contribute to the identification and analysis of main bottlenecks in Recruitment and HR data management, supporting the assessment, changes implementation, and regular monitoring and follow-up;
Contribute to the design, refinement, and implementation of HR tools and procedures, to improve the quality of the recruitment processes and allow better and more effective HR data management;
Contribute to the identification of shared and smart tool-based improvements within the HR Units;

**Dissemination and implementation of the Recruitment Policy for National Staff**
- Organize and conduct training for the dissemination of the Recruitment Policy for National Staff in INTERSOS Missions;

- Liaise with AreaHRCOs and the Recruitment Team to improve the visibility and accessibility of INTERSOS job opportunities for National staff;

**Education***
University degree in Social Science, Psychology, Political Science, or related field.
A specific Degree/Master in Human Resources Management will be considered an asset.

**Professional experience***
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in the humanitarian sector, 2 years in a similar position
Work experience in a no-profit or NGO
Field experience is an asset

**Professional requirements***
Proven ability to deal with multiple tasks and in demanding working conditions
Ability to deal with short deadlines
Proactive approach, and goal-oriented
IT advanced knowledge (Office package, HR software)

**Languages***
Fluent knowledge of English, both written and verbal
Knowledge of French/Italian is an asset
