Outdoor Product Marketing Strategist

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Product Marketing Manager focused on our ski product lines. The successful candidate will possess a deep passion for outdoor sports and a strategic mindset to enhance our marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze consumer demands and anticipate future market trends.
  • Collaborate with the Category Manager to establish a long-term strategic vision.
  • Conduct thorough qualitative and quantitative assessments of the market, competitors, and target users.
  • Develop a comprehensive product range and business plan for presentation to the Category Manager.
  • Outline essential product and collection inputs.
  • Work closely with the R&D Department to ensure the effective execution of the range plan, adhering to specifications and timelines.
  • Oversee project timelines from initial input through to sales samples and production delivery.
  • Act as a facilitator and coordinator among cross-functional teams throughout the product life cycle.
  • Evaluate product and collection profitability against established targets and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Monitor the product life cycle (PLC) closely.
  • Engage with customers and participate in events to bolster product marketing efforts.
  • Ensure the creation and upkeep of technical and promotional product documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing department to execute a successful Go-To-Market strategy.
  • Assist the Technical Area in addressing product defects and facilitating product industrialization.
  • Provide support and training to the sales team.
  • Coordinate with the Racing department to cater to the specific needs of athletes.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in economics or engineering-related fields.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Sporting Goods sector.
  • Familiarity with the technical sportswear industry and various materials, both soft and hard goods.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for and active participation in outdoor sports.
