Strategic Sales Engineer for Centrifugal Compressors

This is a pivotal role within Ingersoll Rand's Compressors Europe division, where you will provide tactical sales support focused on the centrifugal portfolio.
As a Strategic Sales Engineer, you will offer in-depth application guidance, competitive positioning, specification review, and special options pricing/delivery to drive business growth. Your expertise will be instrumental in analyzing customer requests, creating comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, and collaborating with local Sales teams and customers.
Responsibilities:- Product Application: Offer expert advice to the sales force on equipment applications, tailoring solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Competitive Strategy: Develop strategies in conjunction with sales teams to position Ingersoll Rand's solutions and capture orders.
- Proposal Creation: Review customer requisitions/specifications, select optimal compressors, obtain vendor quotes, and prepare top-notch proposals in the local language, including delivery and price details.
- Technical Support: Provide product technical guidance aligning customer needs and interface with our Engineering team for special requests.
- Order Entry and Customer Management: Collaborate with the Order Management team to ensure accurate order entry and participate in project kick-off meetings, hosting customers during plant visits.
- A Bachelor's Degree - Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or related fields.
- 0-3 years of experience in Application Engineering, Contract Engineering, Product Management, or Sales, preferably in Rotating equipment products or Industrial markets.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and fluency in English and Spanish languages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas.
- Fluency in English and Spanish languages.
10% travel requirement.
Location:The position can be based in Madrid, Spain, for internal candidates or those experienced with centrifugal compressor products after a training period in Italy.
