We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Market Expansion Director to spearhead the rapid growth of our Quick Commerce sector in Italy.
About Glovo:Glovo is the fastest-growing multi-category app connecting millions of users with businesses, couriers, and local restaurants, offering on-demand services from over 170,000 local stores. We operate in over 1500 cities across 25 countries.
About the Role:- Drive Growth and Profitability: Take charge of the grocery partners' P&L within Glovo, guiding a dynamic commercial team dedicated to fostering strong bonds with top grocery partners in Italy.
- Maximize Partner Success: Be the steward of our partners' business performance, meticulously analyzing key performance indicators, fueling growth, and materializing the Quick Commerce vision.
- Lead with Excellence: Cultivate a top-tier commercial team, providing mentorship and setting new benchmarks for excellence.
- Negotiate and Build Partnerships: Lead contract renegotiations to forge robust, mutually beneficial partnerships with Italian grocery partners.
- Innovate through Feedback: Channel partner insights into tangible improvements across product, marketing, and operations, in collaboration with our Barcelona HQ.
- Be a Strategic Voice: Contribute actively to the Glovo Leadership Team and report directly to the Director of Quick Commerce & Brand Ads.
You will play a crucial role in defining the trajectory of Italy's fastest-growing Quick Commerce business, leading the expansion of our grocery partners' network, and driving revenue growth.
About You:- Proven Experience: At least 5 years in high-velocity environments (startups, leading consulting firms, prominent internet companies, FMCG, retail).
- Business Knowledge: A solid grasp of the Retail & GDO landscape in Italy, including revenue mechanics and key drivers.
- Leadership Skills: A track record of recruiting, managing, and nurturing a commercial team.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: A robust, data-oriented approach to decision-making, complemented by astute business judgment.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Italian and English.
