About the Role:

The Customer Operations Specialist will be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring proactive and timely communication to meet their needs and expectations. This role will also serve as the interface with internal functions to ensure high on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure permanent interface with customers from account creation to invoicing
  • Create and maintain customer accounts, ensuring they are up-to-date
  • Enter customer orders into the system, communicate proactively, and respond within 24 hours to ensure order books are up-to-date and shared with customers
  • Follow up on orders from receipt to delivery/invoicing, ensuring perfect order execution to meet customer requested dates and timely invoicing
  • Drive resolution to reach customer satisfaction, escalating when necessary
  • Manage and enter customer complaints
  • Interface with logistics providers and site schedulers in EMEAI/USA
  • Consider legal and administrative requirements related to national and international shipments
  • Manage bookings and track shipments for import/export, ensuring on-time arrival, managing credit processes, and coordinating documentation, interfacing with banks
  • Manage consignment stock as needed
  • Collaborate with the commercial team
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects to improve procedures and working methods or reduce costs

Requirements:

  • Customer-oriented and highly focused on providing a great customer experience
  • Enthusiastic and communicative, self-driven
  • Excellent problem-resolution skills
  • Team player with a broad outlook, proactive attitude, and sense of team spirit
  • Open to change, flexible, and capable of adapting to new/unforeseen situations
  • Working knowledge of SAP software (SD module)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Good proficiency in English, able to have a professional conversation on the phone and via mail
  • SAP experience is a must
