Job Description

Our Italian subsidiary, Renishaw Spa, markets and supports all Renishaw products in Italy and abroad.

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Applications Engineer to join our team in Italy. The successful candidate will have experience in installing and supporting industrial robots in the field and will be responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales support to Renishaw products for robotics.

Main Responsibilities
  • Install and commission Renishaw process control and calibration devices for robots, including software
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to Renishaw products for robotics
  • Demonstrate hardware and software products, also at customer site, in cooperation with the sales network or independently
  • Provide training to customers, also at their site
  • Liaise with the UK headquarters and the EMEA Group infrastructure, to constantly improve own knowledge and develop special applications
  • Act as an ambassador for this technology
Key Requirements
  • Technical high school diploma or scientific or engineering university degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in field installing and supporting one or more of the major industrial robots brands
  • Frequent travel in Italy and occasionally abroad is expected
  • Fluent Italian and English (spoken and written)
  • IT literacy
  • Organised, self-motivated individual, with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Methodical and systematic approach to problem solving
  • Ability to remain confident in customer facing environments
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Category B driving license
Desirable Requirements
  • Background of working at an integrator or at a robot OEM
  • Knowledge of technical and electrical drawings, and of mechanical machining
  • Knowledge of systems and methods for industrial metrology
  • Resident in North-Western Italy
