**Job Summary:**

Nielsen is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer - Audio Data to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of our audio references and data assets across all systems and platforms.

This critical role is responsible for maintaining high-quality data standards and implementing best practices. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data quality frameworks and processes.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues in a timely and effective manner, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the references environment.
  • Conduct regular research and analysis of emerging technologies in the television industry and assess their potential impact on business operations.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the production environment to ensure effective on-call support in case of production issues.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide emergency support and troubleshooting for critical production problems outside of regular business hours.
  • Train and support team members on data quality tools, processes, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Provable knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.
  • Experience with quality control software and tools specific to the broadcasting industry (e.g., Tektronix, Mediaproxy, Telestream, TCP/UDP).
  • Deep knowledge of audio/video signal transmission.
  • Programming experience (nice to have: Python, SQL).
  • English language skills – good level of both written and verbal skill.

Benefits:

Nielsen offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
