The Fleet Technician Role

We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Fleet Technician to join our team at Indie Campers in Ferno, Milan. As a key member of our depot team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the exceptional maintenance and upkeep of our fleet of campervans, working closely with our Operations Manager to guarantee smooth operation and outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance procedures according to OEM guidelines, ensuring our fleet is always in top condition.
  • Support the management of all Milan-based fleet-related activities, collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to optimize fleet downtime and costs.
  • Monitor fleet availability, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Review and manage fleet damages, implementing procedures to control and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Excellence team to provide effective solutions to fleet-related problems on the road.
  • Ensure vehicles receive proper and optimized interventions, keeping the HQ Fleet team informed of any updates.
  • Maintain high standards in all fleet-related procedures, adhering to company policies and guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in vehicle maintenance/repair, preferably in a Rent-a-Car or Automotive Repair Shop.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to prioritize and be organized.
  • English proficiency and good communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
