Position: Center of Excellence Integration Engineer (Hybrid)

The role of the Center of Excellence Integration Engineer signifies a high-level technical expertise in product and solution development. This position encompasses both standard product offerings and customized AVEVA solutions. The engineer will be tasked with developing and testing innovative solution features while addressing application challenges related to both custom and integrated AVEVA solutions. This role is integral to the Practice Development Team, responsible for building and maintaining the solutions provided by the Customer Support Organization, allowing for the accumulation of programming knowledge and expertise on the solutions delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Development and Support teams to gain mastery over customer solutions.
  • Investigate, identify, and propose program components to introduce new features and resolve application issues observed in the field or internally.
  • Assist clients in adopting new solutions and troubleshoot any potential technical challenges.
  • Support Application Engineers (Level 2) with site-specific challenges during new site launches and system upgrades.
  • Engage in power monitoring system development projects post-release, contributing by providing insights, executing test scenarios, and participating in product development and testing.
  • Address technical inquiries escalated from application engineers and engineering teams.
  • Identify and assess product and solution failures, aiding engineering teams in understanding and resolving these issues.
  • Contribute to the documentation of new solution features using our Knowledge Base tool.
  • Design, plan, research, evaluate, and test complex systems utilized for monitoring and controlling program execution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in software, database management, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in SQL database querying and programming.
  • Minimum of 5 years of programming experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SCADA and HMI standards is highly beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel to various customer locations globally.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and knowledge of AVEVA products is advantageous.
  • A degree in Engineering (Electrical, Power Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Experience in providing advanced technical support, both on-site and remotely.
  • Understanding of control systems and PLCs.
  • Experience in C# and HTML5 coding for web applications.
  • Knowledge of controls or transformer protection is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Bilingual capabilities in English and French/Italian/German/Dutch are considered an asset.
