We are excited to offer a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced E-commerce Category Manager to join our team at the Alibaba Group.

About the Role:

  • This role involves developing and implementing category strategies to drive business growth and category development in our Italian e-commerce market.
  • The ideal candidate will analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and consumer needs to drive business growth and achieve GMV and order targets.
  • This role also involves building and managing relationships with key merchants to support their growth on the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute category-specific business initiatives to ensure platform competitiveness and growth.
  • Develop strategies to enhance category performance, including seller operations, assortment planning, and sales campaigns.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (traffic, logistics, tech, and customer service) to solve operational challenges and deliver projects effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above, with 3-8 years of work experience in e-commerce, category management, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in business negotiation, seller acquisition, product planning, and channel/merchant management.
  • Background in consulting or industries such as electronics, general merchandise, fashion, or FMCG is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data processing and deriving actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Italian.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong teamwork spirit with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
