IT Application Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Application Specialist to join our team at Michael Page. As an IT Application Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and supporting our software ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT principles and techniques, as well as experience with APIs and integration developer tools such as Boomi or Informatica Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and service key institutional information systems, including overseeing user access rights, data standards, and data structures.
  2. Create automated and customized workflows, which may require building SQL Triggers and Stored Procedures.
  3. Develop and implement change requests based on business and department needs.
  4. Address integration issues and troubleshoot software and user errors.
  5. Evaluate and develop the reporting requirements of the administrative offices across the university.
  6. Create, manage, and enhance API processes for data extraction and mining.
  7. Extract and upload data, based on office and/or project needs.
  8. Create and maintain technical documentation.
  9. Participate in the implementation and support of new systems.
  10. Contribute to improving services and solutions in relation to the general CRM strategy and information systems.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or the equivalent in digital certificates.
  2. A high-level IT skill set and knowledge of principles and techniques of system design and development.
  3. A sound understanding of database concepts, data mining techniques, and a strong knowledge of SQL.
  4. Proven work experience with APIs and integration developer tools such as Boomi or Informatica Cloud.
  5. At least 3 years' proven work experience in a similar role with industry information systems.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills, able to engage in independent study of solutions to problems.
  7. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
  8. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex IT-related issues to non-IT users.
  9. Advanced written and spoken English, must be able to hold conversation with native speakers.
  10. Demonstrated ability to work across cultures, value differences, and have an inclusive approach.
